Vira Volkova Pencil Drawing - Original

US$2,000.00

My pencil drawing of Vira Volkova, Ukrainian partisan and soldier.
When I photographed and interviewed Vira she told me "Our position was attacked by the Germans and our machine gunner was k1lled. I pushed him away and started firing when I was shot in the leg. The bullet is still there". At which point she rolled up her trouser leg and showed me the scar.

The original is available in about A0 size which is 84cm X 119cm or 33” x 47” (±). The drawing is done using graphite pencils with a highlight in the colours of Ukraine using Derwent Lightfast pencils.
